Alzheimer’s Australia is running a free workshop for volunteers who engage with community members living with dementia.
This session will cover:
- The effect of memory loss on the person living with dementia
- Strategies for communication
- Understanding triggers for behaviours of concern
- Suitable structured activities to engage a person living with a dementia
The session will take place on Wednesday June 29, 9:30am-12:30pm at Macedon Ranges Health Centre, 5 Neal Street Gisborne.
