The next round of the Victorian government funded Participation for CALD Seniors Grants program which is now open.

The Participation for CALD Seniors Grants program funds projects that help isolated people from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds and connect them with existing or new support networks and activities. Being socially active is important for health and well-being and evidence shows that older people from CALD backgrounds can face a higher risk of social isolation. The projects are funded by the Victorian Government and to be implemented over the course of a year, from mid 2017-mid 2018. Eligible organisations such as Seniors Clubs, ethnic community groups, Migrant Resource Centres, Neighbourhood Houses and local councils are invited to apply for funding up to $5 000 or $10 000 for more complex or partnership projects.

Applications are now open and will close 5pm February 24th 2017. To find out more,  including Guidelines and Application Forms go to www.seniorsonline.vic.gov.au/cald-grants
