The Castlemaine Salvation Army Corps ‘First Steps Supported Playgroup’ is looking for volunteers on Monday mornings from 9.30am-12pm during school term time.

Families with pre-school aged children come to playgroup to enjoy play, socialising, craft, cooking and getting together in a safe, inclusive space. The playgroup is looking for volunteers to assist the facilitator with weekly set-up and pack-up, preparing morning tea and helping with weekly activities.

Supported Playgroups are an interactive child/parent playgroup where the parent is primarily responsible for care and supervision of their child. The volunteer roles will include helping to create a warm, friendly and inclusive environment, by engaging with parents and building positive relationships with the supported playgroup team.

Volunteers will have current working with children check, police check and complete the Salvation Army Volunteer agreement and registration form.
