Heathcote Community House is a hub for local information, activities, events, courses, workshops, groups and festivals occurring in Heathcote. The house has a community noticeboard as well as valuable information about what’s happening around Heathcote on their website.

Heathcote Community House is a member of Neighbourhood Houses Victoria. Here at the House, you can learn new skills, make new friends and be connected to your community.

Position: Reception/Admin Volunteer

Heathcote Community House is looking for some assistance with reception, general administration and promoting the work of the house.

If you would like to dust off your secretarial skills, or are looking for a new career direction, the Heathcote Community House can offer you family friendly, flexible hours, professional references and a friendly environment.

Volunteers also receive free training, a limited amount of free printing and photocopying as well as free internet services. We also have great social events and a wonderful Christmas function to boot!

Tasks:

  • Welcome visitors to the House
  • Register people for courses
  • Booking events and functions
  • Marketing and promotion
  • Paperwork and filing

Skills:

  • Good communication skills
  • Friendly and approachable
  • Willing to learn
  • Organised and practical
  • IT/computer skills are an advantage!
