‘Buda’ is an authentic house and garden surviving from the gold rush era in Castlemaine, Victoria, lovingly named after Budapest by its Hungarian owner, Ernest Leviny. It was home to the creative Leviny family for 118 years and houses their significant intact collection of furniture, art works and belongings.
Are you a local history buff and a lover of the arts? Volunteer Tour Guides are needed to join Buda Home and Historic Gardens’ dedicated team of volunteers and staff. As part of the team of volunteer Tour Guides you would undertake monthly or bi-monthly shifts, running the Sunday afternoon tour. From time to time tours also are run for special bookings during the week.
